Arabela is a member of the Firm’s Education Practice Group, where she assists independent schools, colleges and universities with a myriad of risk management issues. Arabela advises the Firm’s school and education clients regarding the full range of education law matters, including Headmaster employment agreements, enrollment agreements, student/parent handbooks, faculty/employee handbooks, internal investigations regarding allegations of misconduct, school bylaws, admissions and financial aid documents, data security compliance programs, and acceptable use of technology agreements.
Arabela is also an experienced employment lawyer, advising a variety of clients regarding federal and state employment laws, preparing position statements in connection with discrimination claims, taking and defending depositions in employment discrimination cases, conducting witness interviews and investigations, drafting and arguing motions, and updating employee handbooks.
