Hillary has extensive experience representing employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters, including those involving discrimination and harassment, wrongful termination, and retaliation claims. Hillary has litigated matters in state and federal court, as well as before administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, and the Maine Human Rights Commission. Hillary regularly counsels clients regarding compliance with state and federal discrimination laws and other day-to-day employment issues.
Hillary is a frequent author on the Affordable Care Act and enjoys advising employers about their obligations pursuant to that law. Hillary also enjoys conducting management and employee trainings on various employment law topics, including sexual harassment prevention and social media policies.
Hillary served in the United States Army Reserve from 1994 to 2006, during which time she worked as a medic and later as an Assistant Operations Officer in a medical brigade. Hillary also served as a volunteer with the United States Peace Corps in Zambia, Africa, for two years.
